These are examples of graphics and artwork done mostly for three U.S. newspapers, The Seattle Times, the San Jose Mercury News and The Orange County Register. I have worked in the art departments of all three, doing reporting and research, planning, design and execution of news graphics, and conceptualizing and rendering of illustrations for features sections.

The images are created through a variety of media, from traditional tools such as pencils and paint brushes to 3D modeling software such as Lightwave, Modo, form•z and Alias Sketch. The goal has always been to present information in a clear, easy-to-follow format coupled with sharp, well-defined images, a blend of art and journalism made for that enduring group of informed citizens, those who still enjoy daily newspapers.
